Airship data

Only officers can buy airships, but any guild member can pay deposits toward an airship at the vendor (in harbor, near postbox). Each guild has an account with the vendor - you can pay into this account for an officer to draw on when purchasing an airship.

There are two types of airship: Windspyre (bought with gold) and Stormglory (bought with astral diamonds - only available from the DDO shop).

Also, note that amenities seem to be rented rather than bought - most expire after 7 days, so you would have to keep rerenting them I guess.

Assuming that we never reach guild lvl 50, then our choices are the Windspyre Sparrow (at level 20) and the Stormglory Bolt (at lvl 25). The latter might be easiest to raise funds for - it works out at 5000 turbine points at the cheapest exchange rate, so if we could spare 1000 each it would come out of our subscription. Otherwise, the Sparrow is 500k gp (84k each).

The most important point is the ones you buy with astral diamonds (TP = hard cash) are the sexiest ones.

Some things expire after a week, some are permanent (i think). So getting the balance right will be crucial. Well not really crucial at all really.

Small chests expire after 7 days. Dunno what happens to their contents when they do.

1000 np for me ill put in whaterver Tp i have at the time which should be alot more.

There is a trade-in discount for upgrading an airship within the same weight class. So a Stormglory Bolt will only cost us 120 astral diamonds, not 200.

Still, 5x25 diamonds is 875 TP each, which is an awful lot!

The benefits are we can have 1 more crew member, 2 more small amenities and we get 2 large amenities.

I think this will be our final upgrade, if not at least a year before we upgrade again.

To me the biggest selling point is the ship looks nicer.

I am good for 25 Astral Diamonds. Will go with the vote.
